Programs

Building the Next Generation of Leaders, Storytellers, and Innovators

Kids U 32 believes that talent exists in every community  opportunity does not.

Our programs are designed to unlock the potential of young people through education, sports, media, and leadership development. We focus on communities where access to opportunity is limited but potential is limitless.

Each Kids U 32 program equips students with the tools, mentorship, and real-world experience needed to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create pathways to college, careers, and community impact.

Our model combines education, storytelling, sports, culture, and technology to prepare the next generation to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Sideline Connect

Youth Media & Kid Reporter League

Sideline Connect is the flagship youth journalism and media program of Kids U 32.

The program trains young people ages 8–18 to become reporters, storytellers, broadcasters, and digital media creators covering sports, community events, and youth culture.

Through Sideline Connect, students gain hands-on experience in:

• Journalism and storytelling
• On-camera reporting and interviewing
• Video production and sports broadcasting
• Research and investigative reporting
• Digital media and content creation
• Leadership and public speaking

Participants cover real events — from youth sports to community programs — while learning how media shapes culture, communication, and leadership.

Sideline Connect gives young people a voice while teaching them the responsibility that comes with it.

Kid Reporter League (KRL) The First Youth Journalism League Modeled After Youth Sports

The Kid Reporter League is a national initiative created by Kids U 32 to train the next generation of youth journalists.

Just as Little League created a pipeline for youth sports, the Kid Reporter League creates a structured pathway for youth storytelling and media leadership.

Students are trained as:

• Game Day Reporters
• Interview Hosts
• Camera Operators
• Broadcast Analysts
• Digital Content Creators
• Sports Analysts

Kid reporters attend games, interview athletes, cover community stories, and produce media content that reaches audiences across digital platforms.

The league structure allows youth reporters to progress through levels of training while building real-world experience.

Youth Leadership & Character Development

Kids U 32 programs emphasize leadership development rooted in discipline, teamwork, and character.

Through mentorship and structured programming, students learn:

• Leadership and responsibility
• Cultural awareness and collaboration
• Goal setting and personal development
• Academic focus and college preparation
• Confidence and resilience

Participants are guided by mentors who help them build strong foundations for future success in school, careers, and life.

Students who complete the Sideline Connect program:

• Develop confidence speaking in public
• Learn professional media production skills
• Build portfolios and real broadcast experience
• Gain mentorship from media professionals and athletes
• Develop critical thinking and research skills
• Build pathways to careers in media, sports, and communications

For many students, Sideline Connect becomes their first professional platform to be seen and heard.

Sports, Media, and Education Integration

Kids U 32 uniquely integrates sports and education to create powerful learning environments.

Students learn that sports are not just games  they are platforms for storytelling, leadership, and community engagement.

Programs combine:

• Sports coverage and reporting
• Athlete interviews and storytelling
• Media production training
• Academic skill development
• Mentorship from professional leaders and athletes

This approach allows students to develop both creative and intellectual skills simultaneously.

Community Impact

Kids U 32 programs currently operate in communities across California and Texas, including:

• San Diego
• Laguna Beach
• Carlsbad
• Temecula
• Houston
• Dallas
• Everman ISD

Our goal is to expand nationally and bring opportunities to communities where young voices are often overlooked but deeply needed.

Why These Programs Matter

Young people today grow up in a world shaped by media, technology, and rapid change.

Yet many students never receive training in:

• Communication
• Media literacy
• Leadership
• Storytelling
• Public speaking

Kids U 32 fills that gap.

By empowering youth to tell stories, lead conversations, and represent their communities, we help build confident leaders who will shape the future.

The Vision

Kids U 32 is building a national platform where young people are not just participants in the world around them — they are reporters, leaders, and creators shaping it.

Through programs like SidelineConnect and the Kid Reporter League, students gain more than skills.

They gain voice, confidence, and opportunity.
