Learning Through Real Experience

The most powerful learning happens outside the classroom.

Kids U 32 provides students with real world experiences that include:

• Media access at sports and community events
• Interviews with athletes and leaders
• Youth storytelling projects
• Digital media production
• Leadership roles within community programs

These experiences transform how students see themselves and their future.

THE CHALLENGE

Young people in underserved communities often lack access to:

• Mentorship and leadership development
• Career exposure in media, technology, and entrepreneurship
• Communication and storytelling skills
• Opportunities to build confidence through real-world experiences

Without these opportunities, many students struggle to see pathways to leadership and professional success.

Kids U 32 addresses this challenge by creating programs that connect youth with skills, mentors, and experiences that unlock their potential.

Our Solution

Kids U 32 delivers youth development programs that combine:

• Literacy and communication development
• Leadership and life-skills training
• Media and technology education
• Sports-based mentorship
• Real-world experiential learning

Our programs are designed to help young people develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive in school, careers, and community leadership.

Our Flagship Program

Sideline Connect Youth Media Network

Sideline Connect is the premier youth journalism and storytelling initiative created by Kids U 32.

The program trains students ages 8–18 to become reporters, storytellers, and digital media creators.

Through SidelineConnect, youth gain real-world experience covering sports events, interviewing leaders, and producing digital media content.

Students develop skills in:

• Sports journalism and interviewing
• Public speaking and on-camera confidence
• Video production and digital storytelling
• Research and media ethics
• Social media communication and broadcasting

These experiences give students the opportunity to step into the role of media professionals while still in school.

SidelineConnect does more than teach journalism — it builds confidence, leadership, and career pathways.

Leadership & Life Skills Development

Kids U 32 programs help young people develop the character, discipline, and communication skills necessary to succeed.

Students participate in experiences that develop:

• Leadership and teamwork
• Public speaking and confidence
• Goal setting and personal development

Through mentorship from educators, athletes, and professionals, students learn how to translate their talents into meaningful opportunities.

Education & Literacy

Strong communication skills are foundational to leadership.

• Read critically
• Write effectively
• Research important topics
• Communicate ideas clearly

Whether students are writing stories, conducting interviews, or presenting ideas on camera, they learn that their voice has power.

The Global Citizenship Initiative

Many Voices, Building Understanding

At Kids U 32, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a world where respect, equality, and understanding are the norm.

Children are not born with prejudice. Bias often grows from unfamiliarity and lack of exposure. When young people are given opportunities to experience different cultures, perspectives, and communities, they develop empathy, confidence, and the ability to thrive in a diverse society.

Our mission is simple but powerful:

Every child should grow up learning how to understand, respect, and collaborate with people from different backgrounds before they enter adulthood.

Through Kids U 32 programs, young people gain firsthand experience engaging with different cultures, communities, and perspectives—preparing them to step into the world as leaders, collaborators, and changemakers.

Growing Global Citizens

Education and opportunity remain unequal for millions of girls around the world. Even today, millions of girls face barriers that limit their ability to access education and leadership opportunities.

When girls are denied education and opportunity, entire communities lose potential leaders, innovators, and problem solvers.

Yet when girls are empowered through education, mentorship, and leadership opportunities, the impact is transformative.

Each additional year of education can significantly increase a girl's future earning potential and ability to lead within her community.

Investing in gender equality is not just the right thing to do it is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen communities and economies.

Cultural Bridges: Youth Connecting Communities

Kids U 32 believes gender equality must be experienced—not just taught.

Our programs create environments where girls and boys learn to respect, collaborate with, and support one another while gaining the skills needed to lead in a global society.

Inspired by successful global models of youth empowerment, our approach focuses on four key areas.

Global Perspectives, Local Leaders

Students develop critical life skills that help them build confidence, leadership, and emotional intelligence.

Programs focus on:

• communication and leadership
• cultural awareness and empathy
• confidence and public speaking
• teamwork and collaboration

These skills prepare youth to navigate a world that requires understanding across cultures, communities, and perspectives.

Learning Beyond Borders

Young people learn best through experience.

Kids U 32 programs provide opportunities for youth to interact with different cultures, communities, and leaders through real-world experiences including:

• youth journalism and storytelling
• community events and sports programs
• cultural engagement activities
• leadership and service projects

These experiences allow students to learn empathy, understanding, and collaboration in authentic environments.

Representation matters.

Kids U 32 connects young people with mentors from diverse backgrounds in sports, media, education, and community leadership.

Mentorship helps students:

• see new possibilities for their future
• build confidence in their voice and abilities
• develop leadership and professional skills

These relationships help students imagine futures they may have never believed possible.

Expanding Opportunity for the Next Generation

Kids U 32 creates meaningful opportunities for young people to connect with diverse communities, cultures, and leaders through real-world learning experiences.

Our programs help youth step beyond the classroom and engage with the world around them through experiences such as:

• Youth journalism and storytelling through SidelineConnect
• Community events and youth sports programs
• Cultural engagement and cross-community learning
• Leadership development and service initiatives

These experiences allow students to build empathy, understanding, and collaboration skills in authentic environments.
